
VIRTUAL PRE-SCHOOL GROUP PROGRAMS
The Ecology Centre is doing all we can to ensure safe and engaging programs by moving our workshops on-line. Zoom or MS Teams sessions will consist of virtual stories, show-and-tells, and visits to the forest in Lynn Canyon Park.
BOOKING YOUR VIRTUAL PROGRAM
Spring virtual programs run from February 8 onward.
Phone 604-990-3755 from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
Be ready with the program name, number of students, booking dates, your e-mail and phone number.
Program bookings cannot be completed by e-mail, but if you have questions about our programs you are welcome to contact us at ecocentre@dnv.org.
Minimum cost of $30.00 for virtual programs with less than 10 children.

WHAT'S FOR LUNCH
Mondays, 10 am to 10:45 am
Cost: $3.00 per child
This virtual program is best suited for children ages 3 to 5.
The forest is full of food and animals need to find it. Discover the food chains of Lynn Canyon Park! We'll read a story, search for animals eating food in the forest, and take a look at animal teeth and claws.
EARTH EXPLORERS
Mondays, 10 am to 10:45 am
Cost: $3.00 per child
This virtual program is best suited for children ages 3 to 5
If you love worms, soil, and fossils, this program will help you explore the world beneath your feet. We'll show you fossils from Walter Draycott's collections, and learn about animals that use rocks and soil as their home.
GOING BUGGY
Mondays, 10 am to 10:45 am
Cost: $3.00 per child
This virtual program is best suited for children ages 3 to 5
Do the children in your preschool or daycare love bugs? We'll read a buggy story, find some bugs living in the forest near the Ecology Centre, and then zoom in for a close-up look at a bug friend with our special magnifier.
SELF-GUIDED PROGRAM AT THE ECOLOGY CENTRE
Eye Spy
Maximum 10 children plus adults
30 minute self-guided Ecology Centre tour - $3.00 per child
Go on a scavenger hunt to discover nature pictures hidden in the Ecology Centre displays. Receive a small prize when you complete the Eye Spy booklet and then enjoy a nature video in our theatre.
